I retired from the corporate world at age 52 to live the rural life. We moved to the family farm house that had stood empty for more than 40 years.  As you can imagine the house needed to be modernized and expanded in order to become a comfortable home.  This is what my wife focused on.

Being a car guy, I focused on the iron relics and structures that littered the fields, seemingly abandoned where they were last used.  There are/were no economic reasons for reviving these relics. It is just something I wanted to do --- to make the farm whole again.

I am definitely not an expert at these type of endeavors.  I do not have a particular set of skills, but what I do have is a willingness to push forward and learn as I go.
